Pastor Bill's greeting

Bill Younker

Thanks for finding ICC. We are a church that ministers to Internationals in the Columbia, Missouri area. We are also a church where Americans can minister to the world. We have Sunday morning services at 11 am at 1209 East Walnut Street. This is the Love Columbia building. Come and worship with us. I am going through the book of Acts right now, we are seeing how the early church changed the world. ICC is a place where Internationals can have a place away from home. We would enjoy helping you get settled into Columbia and the Mizzou campus. We hope to see you soon!

New foundation

Lori Younker

I passed an old barn on the highway to town today. The old wood was being removed to reveal a solid cement foundation. Without a doubt, the farmer is preparing to build a new structure on it. It seems in our world, over a year into the pandemic and with a new location ourselves, the women of ICC stop to evaluate what to keep on the schedule and what to drop entirely for a better, more effective ministry. In general, the dissembling of our social structures has given us “mental space” for redesigning our work solidly on the foundation of Jesus Christ. So in that way, let’s think about what the believers of the first century focused on. They looked out for each other, sharing what they had. We can do that. They met together for prayer and eating meals. We can do that. They read the word of God and let its truths shape them for the future. We can do that too! In your personal life, as you evaluate your Christian faith and practice, we hope you are building in the foundation: praying, sharing, helping, reading the Word of God. May we look back at the end of the year 2021 and see what God has built in us and through us.

BIBLE QUOTES

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household. Ephesians 2:19 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (KJV)
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17

Hospitality

ICC becomes our family away from home, as we share meals, field trips, and practical needs. Not only are American holidays a time to share pot-luck meals, Pastor Bill hosts large pork-roasts and picnics throughout the year. Looking for furniture, household items, or ready to purchase a vehicle? We can point you in the right direction for many of the needs that come up with owning a car. Let us know how we can be of service to you! Contact: Pastor Bill wayounker@aim.com

Men's Retreats

Each spring, the men meet for a full day of fellowship in the great outdoors. A special speaker beings a discussion over the Word of God, the Bible, shedding light on topics men appreciate. This is followed by cooking together and a time of fishing or archery. This year's retreat would be on 05/08/21. Contact Pastor Bill for more information.
